The end of the road nears for Ekta Kapoor’s pet serial Kasamh Se. The soap will go off air by the end of next week.



Explaining why Ekta decided to discontinue Kasamh Se, our source said, “As Kasamh Se’s actors have been around from a long time (2006), their bills cost Balaji Telefilms a bomb. The recession only hastened her decision. It is a time to cut costs and, Kasamh Se isn’t generating sufficient profits either. So she didn’t see the point in continuing with a show that has a higher production cost and meagre or no profits. It was Ekta’s decision to put an end to the show, and the channel understood her perspective.”
