If Shilpa Shetty had had her way, her role in the Indo-Chinese project Desire would have been a hair-raising experience. The script required the actress to go bald and the actress was apparently willing to go through with shaving her head. “However, she wasn’t able to because of a campaign she’s doing for a cosmetics company,” says make-up artiste Vidhyadhar Bhatte, who did the bald prosthetics on Shilpa for Desire.

The scenes that required the actress to be bald were shot in one day, and it took Vidyadhar two hours to create the look. “After holding her hair back with gel, I placed a plastic cap on it. Then, I used an adhesive and covered it with stockings to give the cap a neat and natural look. After that, I applied four layers of liquid latex. The result was quite impressive and pleased everyone,” says Vidyadhar.

Actress Shilpa Shetty will wed her long time beau Raj Kundra. It is now official that Raj proposed to Shilpa on the Valentine’s Day this year with a diamond ring. However, Shilpa gushed that the wedding will not take place before the end of this year. Shilpa said that the proposal popped up when she was not expecting it the least bit, but was happy to accept it right away.
